Congressman Glenn Nye’s Dope Show

What the hell is going on in Hampton Roads?
We at PI have written about Glenn Nye before, and we have acknowledged that he faces a tough battle in 2010 to hang on to his Congressional seat. We had no idea that he had so much baggage.
It seems Glenn Nye, the mysterious out of nowhere Congress guy who loves to get high, engaged in some pretty questionable behavior during his race for the 2nd Congressional District seat in 2008. He was running against Thelma the train wreck, but people had no idea who he was and at first there was not a great deal of confidence about his chances. However, with Warner and Obama’s coattails Nye was able to win the seat.
We have obtained information from high level members of the Nye campaign that goes to show the risk in electing someone we no little about. Perhaps had he been better vetted, we would have known that Glenn Nye the toking guy loves to smoke up a bit in his home. We make no judgements against marijuana usage, but it is illegal. If you are going to take the oath of Congress, you should at least have the courage to fight against marijuana prohibition if you are going to smoke up.
Our story begins with Nye’s campaign manager, Rick Fromberg. Rick learned of Nye’s marijuana usage early on in the campaign and told the eager candidate that the usage would have to stop during the campaign. It turns out that Nye had staff over to his house often, particularly for call time and such. Nye had specifically labeled one of his downstairs bathrooms as “off limits”. A few staffers disobeyed this order and entered the bathroom, only to find the soon to be Congressman’s private stash of marijuana. According to staffers, they told Rick Fromberg who became irate. Rick supposedly told the Congressman that, again, he needed to stop smoking pot during the campaign. According to staffers, the marijuana usage continued after that summer incident all the way to the fall.
This is, unfortunately, not all of our story. It also appears that Glenn Nye the horny Congress Guy wasn’t satisfied with just his 420 habit. In order to keep Nye from random hookups, Rick Fromberg delivered his sister, Marcy Fromberg, to Nye for his enjoyment. Their sexual relationship continued throughout the campaign. We at PI do not condemn Nye for wanting a little action, but we think it’s a bit weird to get the hookup from your campaign manager’s sister. We also have huge concerns over the fact that, during the time she was sleeping with Nye, Marcy Fromberg was on payroll from the DPVA (Democratic Party of Virginia) to the tune of $1400 every two weeks. One has to ask, what part of that sum was for her responsibilities with the soon to be Congress guy Glenn Nye?
To be fair, PI contacted Rick Fromberg before we published this story. Fromberg, it is important to note, did NOT deny ANY of the allegations made by the Nye staffers. Fromberg refused to provide a statement immediately. Fromberg promised us a written statement, but we at PI have not received anything from him, the Nye campaign, or Nye’s Congressional Office.
The reality is that the Repugs will wipe the floor with Nye in the upcoming midterm elections. Glenn’s moral weaknesses will not play well in Pat Robertson country, and the country will suffer as we lose this important seat. Glenn Nye, the toke and poke my campaign manager’s sister guy should step aside so that the Democrats aren’t mired in this moral argument in 2010 or the upcoming 2009 statewide elections.
It looks like Rep. Nye voted against a bill that would have stopped federal medical marijuana raids in California and other states where it is legal. You would think his use of pot would have made him think differently. Clearly this guy has no principles.
This is obvious fiction. Where do you come up with this stuff?
This is not fiction my friend. This came from a Glenn Nye campaign staffer and confirmed by a second. Rick Fromberg refused to comment including a denial.
“A high up staffer,” I’m sure. What does that mean? A volunteer? Besides Rick, how many people were actually paid by the Nye campaign? I bet the number can be counted on one hand, not including DPVA organizers – none of whom could have been considered “high up” in any campaign. Let me take a wild guess here: your “source” was not employed by the Nye campaign through election day, was he? And I’ll bet he left under circumstances that might have made him want to get back. Perhaps by creating fictional anecdotes for gullible bloggers…
@Willy
Do you work for Glenn Nye Willy? Did you get to spend time with Marcy Fromberg too or was that just a candidate perk? Did you get high with him too? Glenn Nye is my Congressman and it doesn’t surprise me one bit.
@lincoln_logs
hahahaha…have you ever SEEN Marcy Fromberg? If you had, you would also doubt the veracity of this story. Believe me, she is not an acceptable substitute for other women.
@Willy
I would agree that Marcy Fromberg is not easy on the eyes. That being said, we have verified this information and stand behind it. We even know that Nye’s people are trying hard to track down the sources.
What difference does it make what Ms. Fromberg looks like? Just like to take the opportunity to flex those muschles, eh boys? Do not believe every piece of annonymous junk mail you get. If you want to take issue with Nye’s voting record, that’s another story.
Pissed, what is a Prgogressive?
The issue is that Nye is a liar, and a weak one at that. Not only did he vote against President Obama’s budget, but he smokes pot in his spare time and then votes on legislation that sends people to prison for doing the very same thing. What a fucking coward.
Wow,that was quick,see you glen. What a career. Roll another one, just like the other one, you been hanging onto it, and I sure would like a hit. Don’t bogart that joint my friend, pass it over to me…Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
G.S. are P.I.’s initials…
Will you delete this post too?
Not so anonymous.
Glenn, tell us all you voted to block this non-healthy health care bill,that is once again being slid through on a weekend. This Bill is a terrible piece of legislation for anyone who actually works for a living.For those who do not try to earn a living ,it will probably seem like a great idea, since they take whatever they can get for free always.My wife and i struggle with our small business, and this bill stands to make earning even more difficult. I didn’t read the entire 2,000 pages ,but it seems to be chocked full of crap as usual. It seems that our new administration is trying to shut down this countries working class, with yet more added on restrictions and higher taxes that don’t add up to building a stronger economy. Stifling economic growth seems to be what these Bozos in Congress are pushing for.
